Stephens Lake Christmas Light Installation — Columbia
Park on one side, established Columbia streets on the other, and a lot of people walking past your house in December. Worth getting right.
A neighborhood with an audience
The streets around Stephens Lake Park sit in east-central Columbia, close enough to downtown to walk it and settled enough that the trees are full grown. Housing is mixed in the good way — older homes that have been kept up, some carefully renovated, some newer infill — on streets that get real pedestrian traffic because the park pulls people in year round. In December that matters. Whatever you hang is seen slowly, on foot, by people who are already out looking at things.
What holds up best on a mixed-age street?
Consistency. When the houses vary, the thing that makes a display look expensive is not quantity but discipline: one bulb temperature, even spacing, level lines, and every cord out of sight. We would rather light three surfaces properly than seven surfaces adequately, and the finished job looks more expensive for it.
Can you light the back as well as the front?
We can, and near the park it is worth asking about. If your lot faces or backs onto open ground you effectively have two front elevations, and a modest run on the back — a deck rail, a patio edge, a tree — changes how the house feels from inside all season.
Do you do the whole season, or just the install?
The whole season. Design, the lights themselves, install, any repairs that come up while they are hanging, takedown in January, and storage until next winter. One number covers it, and you do not end up with a bin of tangled strands in the garage in February.
What if something fails in the middle of December?
Call or text and we come back out. Repairs while your lights are up are included, not billed extra. Cold snaps and ice do knock things loose, and the honest answer is that it occasionally happens on every install in Columbia — the difference is whether someone comes and fixes it.
How early should we book?
Earlier than most people think. The install window in Columbia is genuinely short — a few weeks between the weather turning and everyone wanting their lights on at once — so the calendar fills from the outside in. If you know you want lights this year, get on the list now and pick your week.
One call does the whole season
Lights, install, fixes, January takedown, and storage — one number, no surprises.
