Thornbrook Christmas Light Installation — Columbia

Newer southwest Columbia building with tall entries and multiple gables. Geometry that lights beautifully.

New builds were made for this

Thornbrook and the newer building around southwest Columbia give us the opposite job from the older neighborhoods: bigger houses, taller entries, and three or four separate gables across a single front. That geometry is genuinely fun to light, because outlining each peak individually makes the shape of the house come forward after dark instead of blurring into one bright band.

Why does each gable get its own run?

Because a single line straight across the front flattens the house. Traced peak by peak, the elevation keeps its shape — that is the difference between a professional install and a strand from a big-box store.

Who reaches the tall entry?

We do, with a lift where the ladder angle is wrong. A two-story entry gable is the highest-impact run on a new build and the one no homeowner should be climbing to in December.

Does the subdivision care how it looks?

Most do, and that is the argument for hiring somebody. Uniform spacing, matched color temperature and crisp corners are exactly the standard that keeps a street looking composed.
